Position: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Rapha Youth Outreach Services is seeking a passionate, highly motivated professional to join our growing team as an Enhanced Youth Outreach Worker.

This is an opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of youth and families across Windsor-Essex. Working from a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive approach, you will provide outreach, case management, mentorship, advocacy, and community-based support to youth facing complex barriers.

This position requires flexibility and includes regular evening and weekend work.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outreach, mentorship, and intensive case management.
  • Build trusting relationships with youth and their families.
  • Connect youth with education, employment, housing, healthcare, mental health, and community supports.
  • Advocate for youth with schools, employers, landlords, and service providers.
  • Plan and facilitate youth programming, workshops, and community events.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and program records.
  • Develop strong partnerships throughout the community.

 

 

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Human Services, Community Development, Child and Youth Care (degree program), or a closely related discipline.
  • A master’s degree in a related field is considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience working with youth or vulnerable populations.
  • Experience in case management, client advocacy, service navigation, and crisis intervention.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic case management systems, and social media platforms.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with:

  • Experience working within Black communities and supporting Black youth.
  • Strong cultural competency.
  • Experience facilitating youth programs and community outreach.
  • Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva or Adobe Express).
  • Fluency in French is an asset

 

 

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence.
  • Reliable access to a vehicle.
  • Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
